Personal data protection and privacy at Qualitest AG

Data Protection Qualitest AG
Data protection is of fundamental importance to Qualitest AG. We undertake technical as well as organizational efforts to always ensure the data security of personal data. Qualitest AG has a data protection guideline in which all measures for the data security of personal data regarding confidentiality, availability and integrity are regulated.

Qualitest AG respects the privacy (according to the current Data Protection Act and Art. 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution) of persons about whom data is processed and takes care to comply with the legal provisions and principles of internationally recognized business practices when processing personal data. It is necessary for Qualitest AG to collect and use identifiable data about individuals both during its business operations and for internal administrative purposes. The lawful and correct handling of personal data is very important for our business operations and the execution of our internal tasks. It is not only a legal requirement, but also of great importance for maintaining trust between our business partners and us. Lawful and correct handling of personal data creates trust among our customers and our workforce. Therefore, we fully support and comply with the principles contained in the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG CH) of June 19, 1992, including amendments of September 1, 2023.

Cooperation with third parties
Qualitest AG cooperates with third-party providers in the context of recruiting test persons for market research and must exchange personal data with the third-party providers in this context. Qualitest AG assures that the third-party providers are subject to the same data protection and privacy guidelines as Qualitest AG itself. Qualitest undertakes to carefully select and check the Third-Party Providers.

Data protection and confidentiality
Market, opinion, and social research data are only passed on to the client in anonymized form. An exception is made in those cases where the respondent expressly requests the disclosure of his/her identity or expressly consents to the disclosure of his/her identity. In both cases, this consent must be obtained by explicit, double-query in the questionnaire.

Oral and written interviews
After the data collection and the controls have been completed, the questionnaire and the address are separated from each other. In this way, it is no longer possible to tell from the questionnaire who gave which answers, and no conclusions can be drawn about the person interviewed.

Telephone interviews and Internet surveys
In computer-assisted telephone interviews and Internet surveys, there are no paper documents. Respondents' answers are entered directly into the computer. Only a very few specialists with password protection have access to the information. The addresses are recorded for control purposes in the context of quality assurance and remain in the institute. It is also possible that a respondent will be contacted again later for a supplementary interview.

Qualitest AG commits itself

Data processing at Qualitest AG
After completion of the data collection and the controls, the address and interview data are stored separately. It is then no longer possible to see from the (digital) questionnaire or interview who gave which answers, and no conclusions can be drawn about the person interviewed. In addition, the answers are processed together with those of other persons in an overall evaluation. The data collected is only used for statistical purposes. It is therefore impossible to draw conclusions about individual persons or companies. The results are then only passed on to the client in anonymized and summarized form - usually as tables, graphs and/or as a written report.

Note on legal rights of the test persons
Test persons receive information about the data stored by us free of charge at any time without giving reasons. They can have the data collected by us blocked, corrected, or deleted at any time. They can also revoke any consent they may have given us separately for the collection and use of data at any time without giving reasons.
